What is EduTempMail?

EduTempMail is a free temporary email service that generates disposable .edu email addresses for 180+ countries. You can receive emails for up to 60 minutes without signing up or providing personal information.

Which countries and .edu domains are supported?

We support 180+ countries including USA (.edu), UK (.ac.uk), Australia (.edu.au), Japan (.ac.jp), China (.edu.cn), India (.edu.in), Germany (.edu.de), France (.edu.fr), and many more. View the full list on our Countries page.

How long does my inbox stay active?

Every generated email address is active for 60 minutes from the time it is created. After 60 minutes, the address expires and all received messages are permanently deleted.

Do you store my emails?

No. We do not permanently store your emails. Messages are held temporarily in memory for the duration of the inbox's 60-minute lifetime and are deleted upon expiry. We do not log your activity.

Can I use this email to sign up for websites?

Yes. Temporary .edu emails work for any external website that accepts email verification. Note: they cannot access actual university portals, student management systems, or institutional resources.

Can I choose a specific university domain?

You can select your country and the generator will randomly assign a university-style domain from that country. Custom domain selection is not supported in the free tier.

Is there a limit to how many emails I can generate?

No. You can generate as many temporary email addresses as you need. Each generation creates a fresh address with its own 60-minute inbox.

Is this service legal?

Using disposable email services is legal in most countries. EduTempMail is a privacy tool — it gives you control over who receives your contact information. Our terms of service prohibit use for spam, fraud, or illegal activities.

Why use a .edu email instead of a regular temp email?

.edu and academic TLDs are trusted by most services and are less likely to be blocked by websites that reject known disposable mail domains. Educational domains carry institutional credibility and pass many spam filters that regular temp email domains fail.

Can I extend the inbox lifetime beyond 60 minutes?

Currently, all inboxes expire after 60 minutes. If you need to receive a message, make sure to check your inbox within that window.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes. EduTempMail is fully responsive and works on all modern browsers on smartphones and tablets.

How do I report abuse or a problem?

You can contact our support team via the email address listed in our Privacy Policy. We take reports of abuse seriously and respond within 24 hours.
